We gladly welcome you to our group!
You have probably already noticed that September is approaching rapidly, and studies are just around the corner. But before that, we, the Student Self-Government of the Faculty of Biology, invite you to the Pre-Aristotle night or as we call it Nakts uz Raga (NuR)!
NuR is a three-day adventure (1st-3rd september) that will take place at the biology faculty practice base in Kolka. During this time, you will have the opportunity to meet the friendly biology community, get to know your new classmates, have fun, and find answers to various questions: How is it possible to get lost in three pine trees? Why is it better not to touch Kolkaris vulgaris by its moustache? Do biologists really drink mermaid blood? You will easily find answers to these and other questions if you don't miss this event (from senior students, you can also learn everything interesting about student life and studies at the Faculty of Biology, student self-government, choirs, LU sports, etc.). Apply by filling out the questionnaire by August 26th!
The event will start at 9:45 from the Latvian University botanical garden (Kandavas iela 2, Riga. At 14:00, we will depart for Kolka. However, on Sunday, the bus will take us back to Riga early enough for you to get ready for Aristotle

What do you need to know about BVEF Pirmsaristotelis?
First of all - red and black dress code. Ambitious spirit. And go! Be ready to start the day with an early morning arrival because money and success don't sleep. Be prepared to prove yourself in team work and individually, of course, with various unexpected twists!
Get caught up in the power of the magical "Masa Masa" dance, in the whirlwind of business idea planning, as well as in the hustle and bustle of other activities. You're not yourself when you don't feel the spirit of competition, the taste of risk, and the power that can conquer anything – you'll find out exactly that with the help of tasks and activities!
With powerful and loud chants, we will not only accompany you to the Dome Square but these chants will keep us alive throughout all the years of study.
You will definitely enjoy the 'Business dinner without dinner'! After conversations with the new first-year students, student council members, and alumni, you will find answers to all questions and establish new friendships and business contacts.
This is just a glimpse of what awaits you. Let the mystery remain sweet... However, to discover it, we'll be waiting for you at BVEF Pre-Aristotelian on September 3rd at 9:00 AM at Aspazijas bulvāris 5! Follow updates and information on our Instagram account bvef_sp!

In order for students to already feel at at home in the Faculty of Computing on their first day, the Student Council is organizing one of the most vibrant events - the pre-"Aristotelis" event "Sējiens 2023", which will take place on the 1st of September.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting pre-study adventure, during which they can acquire skills that will be useful for them in the future to avoid sleepless nights, difficult tests, and challenging exam sessions.
On Friday, September 1st, students will gather at the main building of the University of Latvia, located at Raiņa Boulevard 19, to get to know both the university premises and their new coursemates, engaging in various interesting adventures. In the evening, all participants come together and head outside Riga to continue bonding as students.
On Saturday, September 2nd, students will encounter discipline, teamwork, and endurance, as well as fun and extreme activities, making it the best day in the lives of the students of the Faculty of Computer Science. This will be a day when students strengthen their bond with their new coursemates.
On Sunday, September 3rd, the participants will head back home and meet again to prepare for the University of Latvia student festival "Aristotelis" and show the rest of the faculties how united and loud the Faculty of Computing is!

Every year the new students of our faculty attend the not so, but very obligatory pre-aristotle “Baldone”, which definitely is not a geographically reasoned name for the event. You will have 3 days to get to know your new course mates, the traditions of the faculty and find out this and that about the upcoming study process. And of course to properly recharge for the school year.
Although the location of the event is a closely guarded secret, we will see you on the 1st-3rd of September.

Pirmā daļa jeb pasākuma oficiālā daļa sāksies ar telšu pilsētiņas celšanu vai iekārtošanos savās guļvietās un turpināsies ar MF studējošo pašpārvaldes uzrunu.
Katrs no jums iegūs vārdu kartītes un komandas numuru. Tālāk darbosieties vairākās uzdevumu stacijās, lai vairāk iepazītu ne tikai sevi, bet arī savus jaunos kolēģus, ar kuriem plecu pie pleca mācīsieties pat līdz sešiem gadiem. Būs iespēja uzdot savus kvēlākos jautājumus un baudīt pusdienas.
Otrajā daļā būs ballīte, kur visi jau būsiet sapazinušies un varēsim kopā spēlēt spēles, dejot, pasēdēt pie ugunskura un vienkārši izbaudīt foršo auru.
